How to place a Full Service Shopping and Delivery service order

  1. Download our app here and create an account using your phone number

  2. From the homepage in the dumpling app, scroll down to “Your lists” 

  3. Click the plus sign next to “your list” to start a shopping list or click “start a shopping list” (the latter option will only display if you have no previous lists) 

  4. Type the store name in the search bar

2. Click the stores icon. It will populate below the search bar once you begin typing. If the store is not already listed in our app, the app will display it as a "custom store". Remember, any store is eligible.  Click the store/custom stores icon below to begin your full service shopping and delivery order. 

3. Begin building your list by choosing "search for items" or "write in an item". All unlisted stores and some listed stores' full inventory list may not be available in the app. If an item you want is not listed in the app, select "couldn't find it? Add it as a custom item" or "write in an item" to shop for any unlisted items.

 

Note: Unless the item is on our list of prohibited items *the list of prohibited items is available on our terms and conditions page), it is eligible to be shopped whether it is listed in the app or not. We appreciate your patience, as the Dumpling app is constantly updating each store's inventory to make this process run smoother. Adding a custom item is easy, only the name of the item is required. Brand specifics and size specifics are optional according to your needs. Pictures of the items are not required. In some instances, your shopper may ask you for a picture or send you a picture to verify that we are getting the correct products. 

 

Product prices in the dumpling app are estimates! Feel free to price check with your shopper during their shopping trip. Before you are charged for the items on your shopping list, your shopper will relate the total cost of your shopping list to you. You will receive a paper receipt for the in-store transaction upon delivery. 

 

4. Once you finish building your shopping list, click the green circle in the bottom right corner or your shopping cart in the top right corner (it will display a red number indicating the number of items you've selected). 

5. Click "estimated total" at the bottom of your screen if prompted. 

6. Click check out. 

7. On the checkout screen, select a delivery date and time, add gratuity if you would like, and enter the delivery address. Then click "summary" at the bottom of this screen. 

8. The summary screen will give you a summary of your delivery day, time, and address. Please review these details carefully to make sure this information is correct. The summary of your fees will be at the bottom of this screen. This includes the service fee, gratuity, and the total cost of the items on your shopping list. Here you will enter your payment method and click "place order" to submit the order. 

 

You're all set! JOJ Delivery will shop and then deliver your items to the delivery address you selected, on the date and within the time frame that you selected. Message us using the text icon in our app with any questions about your order, any changes you want to make, and any delivery instructions. Delivery instructions are important if your front door is difficult to locate, if you or your loved one need the items brought inside, or if you want a note handwritten for a gift order. 

 

All service orders are no contact deliveries unless you request that the items are brought inside or the weather does not permit us to leave the items at the door. We will always knock unless we are instructed otherwise in the delivery instructions. We will snap a time and location stamped photo of the delivery and leave your receipt in the bags.

How to place a Delivery Only/Restaurant Pick Up service order

  1. Download our app here and create an account using your phone number

  2. From the homepage in the dumpling app, scroll down to “Your lists” 

  3. Click the plus sign next to “your list” to start a shopping list or click “start a shopping list” (the latter option will only display if you have no previous lists) 

  4. Type “delivery only” or “restaurant pick up” in the search bar 

  5. Click on the respective icon below to begin your restaurant pick up or delivery only service order. It will populate below the search bar once you begin typing. 

  6. Click “write in an item". 

  7. Type “the store or restaurant's name - the store or restaurant's address -  the name that the order was placed under” Remember these orders are placed in advance with the store or restaurant for curbside or in-store pickup. Please make them aware that “JOJ Delivery” is an alternative pick up person. 

  8. Example: After clicking write in an item. Type “Applebees - Eastwood Mall - Shirley Jackson” If the order is from a store or restaurant that has multiple locations, like Giant eagle, the specific address including the zip code will be required where you write in the location.  

  9. Click done, in the top right corner. 

  10. Click the shopping cart in the top right corner to go to your cart. It will display a red number 1. 

  11. Select your delivery date and time- this is the time the order needs to be picked up. Add any gratuity that you would like and then enter your delivery address. 

  12. Click summary at the bottom

  13. The summary screen will give you a summary of your delivery day, time, and address. Please review these details carefully to make sure this information is correct. The summary of your fees will be at the bottom of this screen. This includes the $7 service fee and gratuity. Here you will enter your payment method and click "place order" to submit the order.

How to Place a Service Order (Step-by-step Guides)

How to place a B2B Delivery Only/Restaurant Pick Up service order

  1. Download our app here or use our web ordering link (for laptop and desktop computers). Create an account using your phone number. 

  2. Upon taking the order, inform your customer of the $7 service fee. Proceed to take their order as usual and include the $7 fee in their order total.

  3. From the homepage in the dumpling app, scroll down to “Your lists”. 

  4. Click the plus sign next to “your list”.

  5. Use the store search bar and type either "delivery only" or "restaurant pick up".

  6. To initiate your "restaurant pick up" or "delivery only" order, click on the corresponding icon. The icon will appear below the search bar as you start typing. If you can't find it, please scroll down. Remember, both service options are priced at $7, so you can choose either one.

  7. Click “write in an item". 

  8. Enter the total number of current orders that are awaiting delivery and indicate the designated time for pick up.

  9. Example: After clicking "write in an item",  if there is a single delivery for one customer that will be available for pick-up at 2:15pm; type “1-2:15pm" 

  10. This is the only information necessary for B2B orders. Any further information about the order and the customer is to be included with the order itself. 

  11. Click done, in the top right corner. 

  12. Click the shopping cart in the top right corner to go to your cart. It will display a red number 1. 

  13. Select your delivery date and time. For the customer who's order will be ready at 2:15pm,  you would select the 2pm-4pm time block. 

  14. Enter your businesses address (the pick up location) for the in-app delivery address. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE CUSTOMERS DELIVERY ADDRESS. This will only need to be updated the first time you place an order. 

  15. Write the customers name, delivery address and phone number down and attach it to their physical order. JOJ Delivery has self adhesive labels available for this purpose. We will provide them during your first delivery with us. 

  16. Click "summary" at the bottom.

  17. The summary screen will give you a summary of the delivery day and time. Here you will enter the payment method your business will use to pass on the $7 delivery fee to JOJ Delivery. If there are multiple deliveries made under a single service order,the fee will be modified to account for the number of individual deliveries. For instance, if you entered " 7 - 3:15pm " indicating that you have seven orders to be picked up at 3:15pm, once all seven orders are successfully delivered, the total amount will be adjusted to $49 to cover all seven deliveries.

  18.  Click "place order" to submit the order. 

 

​You're all set! JOJ Delivery will collect and then deliver the order(s) to the designated delivery addresses associated with each order.

  8. Click done. 

  9. Click the shopping cart in the top right corner to go to your cart. It will display a red number 1. 

  10. Select your delivery date and time- this is the time the order needs to be picked up. Add any gratuity that you would like to and enter your delivery address.

Your shopper will contact you directly and communicate the total of the additional mileage fee. ($2 per mile, round trip, from the Eastwood mall to your out of area delivery address). Once you understand and agree, this fee will be added to your out of area, delivery only service fee.
